Oh My God!!! Zara, Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti Warehouse Sale!

Let me tell you this…

DannyBoy is back and running again! THough am amidst my exams but I managed to find time to blog! Apologies to my faithful readers!

To kick things off… I had a blast at the Zara, Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti Warehouse Sale!

It was definitely an awesome experience.. Think about the recent flick a month back, Confessions of a Shopaholic, where the scene where all the women went berserk and crazy at a sale? It was exactly as crazy!

My self and 2 fellow Fashionistas were there at approximately 10:15 a.m 45 mins before the doors open! Yes… we are crazy and its a sale.. and we were not the only ones!

There was already 2 queues!

It started to get crowded and crowded until there was really no point in having a queue in the first place! People started to cut in is now like a stampede! Everyone was packed like a can of tuna, people pushing and shoving to try to get it first and basically… Grab the best first!!!!

People were so desperate to come in that they were getting more violent where while we were enjoying ourselves in the vacinity, people were screaming and shouting and trying to force themselves in until the sliding wall doors were vibrating and moving and one or two of the sliding doors came off! They even had to stick tape on to the glass so that it won’t shatter!

Crazy people! Gosh BE CIVILIZED! The bouncers outside had to scream at the screaming people outside and prevent a havoc accoring! Good job security! It’s only la people! … SALE… HAHAHAH!!! Too bad! you guys came later so too bad! All the nice clothes are mine! Muahahha!! …

When I got in… it felt weird and treasure hunt like… and my single and main mission was to find all the things that I want fast and quick before someone lays hands and eyes on my ‘precious’!

There was so much on dirt cheap and rediculous prices! Almost a give away!

Rm9.90 , Rm 29.90, Rm 39.90, RM 49.90, Rm 59.90… I was in awe! I mean.. ZARA! Pull & Bear! & Massimo!!!

Ok.. normally warehouse sale means really crappy dented and not 100% quality products or has faults in it! But no… it was freaking the really thing! I asked the saleswomen nearby and she said that the new season is arriving soon and strictly all of this season has to go before the season ends!

I was shocked i managed to capture pictures …. normally there would be like.. no cameras, no food and no bags signs… but there wasn’t any so i just clicked away! But they did tie up hand bags and totes to prevent theft obviously.

My fellow fashionistas got a pair of gorgeous suade Massimo Dutti heels for only Rm169.90 when the normal price is Rm500.oo! She got a few other tops as well. but all were in the range of Rm 19.90 to 39.90!

Myself? Hehe…

And you may ask.. only?? Well.. thing is the stuff there for guys (am not sure on the girls) there are more XXL than the regulars.. I heard one dude cursing that there were only sizes for big people and there was no S or M.. In my mind I was like… hehe … that’s why I am here.. HAHAHA!!!

On a normal day, I would be buying loads of stuff and don’t care how much as long as the quality was good and it was worth it and cheap! But.. I put a cap on myself today. I only brought RM 210 with me and no ATM cards! Had to limit and not be a shopaholic!

Men’s Wardrobe Essentials

I have decided that I am going to start on fashion stuff for men as well! So things that I find interesting and needs to be taken note of I will post it up and of course I’ll add a url link for the reference of the webpage source!

To kick it off, I will start with the Essentials for Every Man’s Wardrobe.

Men’s wardrobe essentials – I thought it would be interesting to ask Kim Johnson Gross of Chic Simple Ltd what wardrobe essentials every man should have in his closet. I also asked her for some bargain shopping tips for those of us who want to stretch our wardrobe dollars. The advice she provided gives every guy the essentials he needs for a practical and functional wardrobe that will carry him though many different occasions.

Where to Start?
According to Gross, when it comes to building a functional wardrobe, the first thing a guy must do is assess his lifestyle. Does he need to wear a suit every day? If so, then he will need several suits. Is he in a more casual setting at work? If so, then perhaps he needs more khakis or jeans than trousers or suits. No matter what his particular situation though, there are things every man should have in his wardrobe.

Men’s Wardrobe Essentials

1. A suit (navy or gray)

– Even if you only need a suit a couple of times a year, you’re glad to have it on hand when those occasions arise. Navy or gray suits are classic and neutral and can be dressed up or down. You can even wear the blazer with khakis or jeans. This is an item worth spending some money on.

2. Black shoes and belt

– These can be worn with khakis, jeans and your suit. This is an essential combo. Before buying brown, get black. I think you will find you get more mileage out of them, especially when attending more formal or evening functions.

3. White dress shirt (good for day and night occasions)

– White dress shirts look good on just about everybody. They look sharp and are versatile but should not to be worn as a casual shirt.

4. Solid tie – Solid ties are easy and versatile. If solid isn’t your thing, try a classic diagonal stripe. Having several tie patterns on hand will ensure you are prepared for interviews, weddings and evening events.
5. Blue blazer – A blue blazer is good for all year round and easily coordinates with khakis and other items. If that bores you, try a tweed sport coat but also keep in mind that tweed is really only useful in fall and winter. Either way a blazer or tweed sport coat holds a look together.
6. Khakis and jeans

– No explanation necessary here. Jeans are a staple of the American wardrobe. Khakis are the same.

7. Overcoat

– An overcoat doesn’t necessarily mean a long coat. It also means 3/4-length or car coat length. This item really finishes an outfit and can be worn with everything including jeans. And everyone needs a coat in winter, right? Well, maybe not if you live in places like Phoenix or San Diego.

8. Briefcase

– A briefcase does not necessarily mean a hard case. It can be soft, or messenger bag style. In a man is has to carry files and other documents, this is an essential.

9. Athletic wear

– Even for non-athletic types, athletic wear is great for those lazy Sundays and dashes to the convenience store at wee hours of the morning.

10. Casual shirt – A casual shirt such as a polo or button down is a must have to wear with jeans or other casual pants.
11. Deconstructed suit – A deconstructed suit is great because it has a relaxed look but is pulled together. Also, the pants and blazer can be worn separately)

A word of advice: start simple and expand according to lifestyle. Classics don’t mean boring.

Bargains Shopping Tips
There is only one thing to say – buy on sale! After Christmas or season’s end sales are best. But don’t buy something just because it is on sale or is a great deal. It should be something you would want to wear anyway and coordinates with your wardrobe. Also, if you find something on sale that may not have a perfect fit, don’t be shy about taking it to a tailor. Buy comfortable clothes that make you feel confident and fit your style.
