Hmm… Apple you got to do better! The Dilemma continues…

I’ve been a Mac fan for the longest time now with its minimalist simplicity and fluidity of how the function rolls and most importantly that it never hangs and has Windows viruses yea! Why should I not buy a Mac! Well obviously the main factor would be the price and as a student and musician I won’t be able to afford one on my own till I start working!

The Apple products that I own is an iTouch (the one just before it has a HD screen and camera on it) and an iPhone which was recent! And my very first Apple product was the 2nd generation iPod Nano with the glass coloured screen! That was the best ever design for the iPod Nano to me! The Nano went through the washing machine twice… the second time it died.

I am currently doing an extensive research assignment with my groupmates at Uni on Windows Phone 7 which is a smart phone that never had an impact on me. Heck I didnt know that it existed till this assignment came up! To be honest it looks really cool with the new Windows 7 OS with live tiles, integration with social media apps, the only phone with Microsoft Office software and the X-Box Live integration! I am still not swayed away from the iPhone tho! iPhone ROcks! Yes the benefits and functions of the Windows phone is attractive, but I don’t play the XBox, and I would rather do my work on a laptop rather than on a small screen! It’s like so hard to work with!

Then just during my web surfing I saw that HP had new lap tops with the models HP Pavillion DV-4-7 which has so much to offer, especially in it’s storage space! Freaking 2TB of storage space! Daymn! That is freaking impressive! http://h20424.www2.hp.com/campaign/consumer_notebooks/ap/en/index.asp#/notebook/HP-Pavilion-dv6/feature

Now for me, I currently have a huge hassle with the amount of space i have in my laptop. with only 250 GB, I have 120 GB just on music alone! And as most of you iTunes users, you have to have your music in the hard disc if not you gotta keep loading your play list in iTunes over and over again!

So with the new HP laptops, freaking I’m impressed! Definitely won me over just like that!

I’m currently using my Compaq Presario which has been an old faithful till today with already 3 years on a Vista Premium and it has been showing signs of it dying off recently. Daymn… and HP and Compaq would probably be my number one computer brand if I am to stick to a Windows OS.

For a cheaper cost and so much more benefits over the Apple MacBook Pro… Apple… you gotta do better to convince me to switch!

At where I’m working now, my boss uses an iPhone, a Mac Book , the PCs are all Macs, our applications that we use in the office are all Mac integrated ones, we use Twitter, Facebook and 4Sq from our iPhones,  even our music player and online radio stations and podcasts are all from an iPad!

Look at the Mac desktop computer! Its simple, doesnt take much space as compared to a PC and the Mac doesnt’ have that huge Hard disc where you ahve to press an On button! Everything is in that screen! The hard disc, CD inputs and everything! Sigh even the MacBook Pro is soo good! sigh…

Overall, I love both! Even my boss has another HP laptop with Windows 7 OS! When it comes to a point where I need to get myself a new laptop in the near future, I will still have the same dilemma… Which am I to get!?

What’s currently playing on my iTunes! / Miri Jazz Fest 2010 promo show!

I guess playing the violin in a band has been a pretty great experience so far with awesome band mates where we can learn and support one another and most importantly have fun!

An Honest Mistake at Elevate Titiwangsa

Since I have been on a exploration adventure from middle last year till today and I’ve been submerging myself into much heavier stuff and deeper waters and it definitely has been rewarding skill wise and also on my music knowledge i mean from 5000 songs to now 15000 songs in the span of almost coming to a year!

These are the bands that have been playing over and over on my playlist, in my car and just chilling at home. If you haven’t heard any of these bands do go and listen to em! they are awesome!

Envy On The Coast

Scary Kids Scaring Kids

Janus

Saosin

Brokenscar

Limp Bizkit

Matt Wertz

Well theses are just some of the artists I’ve been listening to, but these artist definitely got me hooked to lots of awesome new techniques and inspirations in my violin and guitar playing.

Can’t wait for Limp Bizkit’s new album and I just found out that Soasin has parted ways with EMI/Virgin and are now unsigned. Hope that with them going DIY it will unleash more awesome stuff from them with no barriers and no limitations by record labels!

Well… thats all for now! Heading to the studio to jam with an up and coming artist, Diandra who will be playing this coming Friday at Laundry and Saturday at KLCC for the promo show at the Miri Jazz Fest, and I’ll be her secessionist for this weekend!

I’m addicted to Passion Pit!

Passion Pit

Passion Pit

These  guys from Cambridge, Massachusetts rocks! Their style of music is like indie, electronic, electro, dance-pop, sort of gives me the very british feel to me even though they are from Boston. Maybe thats why they signed with Columbia UK? Hmm… I guess their market base must be big there…

Check out their music on their MySpace(click here). They have released 2 albums so far… Chuck of Change (2007) and Manners available on iTunes (and set to release May 19th 2009 on audio cd).

Chuch of Change (2007)

Chuch of Change (2007)

Manners (May 16th 2009)

Manners (coming soon....May 19th 2009)

Do check them out! I think their music is quite futuristic.. I don’t know why i also keep thinking about those Car games with those funky music in the menu and selecting your car and stuff.. haha.. I guess they are good driving songs too!

Here are their links below!
